Program Coordinator (Amsterdam)

Are you a detail-orientated event/project administrator looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy helping people and working in a fast-moving setting? We are recruiting a part-time Program Coordinator to join our corporate program team. We are looking for a resourceful and organized person who can bring structure and support to the faculty, in delivering a seamless and distinctive experience for our clients and participants.

Role Specification

As Program Coordinator your main focus will be on THNK’s ‘In-Company’ Programs. Here you play an integral role in the organizing and delivery of programs. You work closely with Program Managers, Program Directors and Faculty to plan and prepare a distinctive program for our participants. Your main responsibility is the preparation of programs including a wide range of administrative and logistical tasks. You are practical and detail-orientated, and can multi-task across programs to ensure that everything runs smoothly. You are service-orientated and take pride in being super organized and efficient.

 

 

Accountabilities

  • Coordinate all program logistics e.g. room bookings, printing materials etc
  • Act as key client administrative contact and brief clients on program logistics
  • Manage program calendar, setting and adhering to deadlines
  • Coordinate off-site location visits and assess logistical requirements
  • Prepare all program materials – printing hand-outs, preparing games etc
  • Manage online platform – on-boarding participants, uploading documents etc
  • Create surveys and collect participant feedback
  • Maintain content library, ensuring that the latest versions are saved and easily searchable
  • Arrange transportation and accommodation for clients
  • Source program specific materials e.g. props
  • Search and arrange for off-site event venues e.g. theatres, restaurants
  • Monitor and maintain stock of program materials
  • Set up and organize client and faculty meetings
  • Support Program Manager during the flagship Creative Leadership Program, and with daily tasks where necessary

 

 

COMPETENCIES

  • At least 1 years’ experience as a project/event administrator or executive assistant
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English
  • Great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, structured professional and efficient
  • Thrive in a setting that is fast-moving and ever-changing yet can bring necessary structure
  • Resourceful and self-directed
  • Play nicely with others and can be assertive when needed
  • Enjoy helping people and solving problems
  • Proactive and eager to learn and share
  • A keen interest in creativity and innovation processes

roles at THNK for participants

For everyone who has completed the THNK Executive Leadership Program as a participant, there is a rich variety of opportunities to work with THNK. All roles are paid and enable the participant to carry a THNK visiting card.

 

THNK might approach individuals, but in most cases the individual THNK participant proposes opportunities based on her own passion and purpose, expertise, and entrepreneurial vision. The opportunity typically starts with a one on one discussion with one of the THNK Partners (Rajiv Ball, Sharon Chang, Menno van Dijk, Bas Verhart, Lee Feldman, or Sarah Dickinson), followed by a period of joint exploration and scoping of the opportunity for collaboration. In this, we are particularly keen to foster long-term collaborations between THNK and former participants.

 

 

Faculty

Involved in the design and delivery of a THNK program. This includes the Executive Leadership Program, the in-company programs, and the in-city programs. Roles include those of Challenge Coordinator, Experience Designer, Master Practitioner, Forum Curator, Leadership Coach, and Acceleration Mentor.

 

 

Research fellow

Engaged in a THNK research effort in terms of objective setting, exploration activities, synthesis and communication. This extends to derived activities such as tool development and publication of content as well as an active role in managing partnerships with third party research institutes and providers of subsidies and grants.

 

 

founder/md of a thnk school

Leading the concept development for a THNK School at a new location, assembling the founder’s team, setting up required local partnerships, arranging financing, adopting and adjusting curriculum, attracting required faculty, setting-up recruiting, finding and designing physical location, and launching the THNK School.

 

 

Creative team member

Asked to engage in a creation effort to develop a creative solution to a large social challenge. This could include a Challenge in the Executive Leadership Program, or a Game-Changer In-Company project, or a project to incubate a Challenge Concept.

 

 

Challenge concept leader

Bringing an innovative enterprise concept resulting from a THNK Challenge from the initial idea to a further articulation, assembling an entrepreneurial team, conducting a pilot, orchestrating the right partnership model and setting up the legal and ownership structure, leading to a first income.

 

 

Service line developer

Developing a new program within the portfolio of THNK activities. This includes programs for new target groups, as well as new formats (e.g. online), new cooperation models to realize creative solutions for large social challenges (e.g. Corporate Venturing, Accelerator, Business Plan Competition).

 

 

In addition to the roles above, we are open to engaging our participants on any other role that may be of mutual interest to the participant and THNK.
