Creativity is a leadership act. And the next generation of leaders must be creative. They need to have the curiosity, courage and power needed to develop new ideas and solutions. Only then can they turn our world’s challenges and crises into opportunities, creating a more meaningful and sustainable way of life. The mission of THNK – School of Creative Leadership – is to build creative leaders for the future and to solve complex societal challenges. Our core offering is a part-time, executive program, offering a distinctive experiential learning experience in creative leadership.

Program objectives

The objectives of the three-day program are:

  • Build self-awareness of your own mindsets and abilities in the field of creative leadership.
  • Learn new skills and frameworks required to be a creative leader who can deliver high impact in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world.
  • Prepare to put into action newly learned mindsets and skills on Monday morning back on the job.

Who should take this program?

This program has been designed for the following participants:

  • High performing corporate executives working in companies where creativity and innovation are critical business drivers, even if they are not a focal point organizationally today.
  • Entrepreneurs who are looking to take their organizations to break through change.
  • Individuals on the verge of a personal transformation – for example, they are about to transition into a new role with a step change in impact – or recognize that they require leveling-up to reach the next major leap in responsibilities or career growth.

Learning objectives

THNK – the School of Creative Leadership – uses a blend of design, systems and critical thinking as well as leadership development thinking, to build creative leaders. In keeping with our belief that creative leadership is a leadership act, a five-part Creative Leadership Model lies at the heart of how we drive excellence and transformation in creative leadership. During the 3 day Global Creative Leadership Program participants will work on all five elements of the THNK Creative Leadership Model, distilled from the flagship 18-month THNK Executive Program:

  • Acting with passion and purpose
  • Applying an explorative mindset
  • Envisioning a better future
  • Orchestrating creative teams
  • Driving break-through change

For each of these elements, participants will learn 2-3 signature THNK tools, frameworks and approaches.  The tools are presented in a highly-experiential fashion with the intention that, once learned, they can be deployed on Monday morning in the work place.

Teaching method

THNK’s teaching method is highly-experiential and participants are expected to roll-up their sleeves and work in small groups for the bulk of the program. During the three days, participants are exposed to a rich stream of peer feedback and coaching, enabling them to see more clearly both their leadership gifts or strengths as well as their learning edges or development opportunities.   During the program, we will be joined by exceptional Master Practitioners in the field of creative leadership who will work with the participants. These will not be lectures but rather sessions where Master Practitioners co-create new perspectives, ideas and content with the participants. A key element of the program is mastering Monday morning realities. We encourage participants to bring their work challenges into the program so that they can actively start to develop strategies and tactics for when they return to their organizations. Post program, peer coaching ensures that the learning journey continues back in the work place.

Fees and logistics

The program runs from 9:00 – 18:00 on 08, 09 and 10 June. The fee for the 3-day Global Creative Leadership Program is R$ 9,420 per participant.  This fee covers all learning materials and meals on site, but excludes travel and accommodation.
