Executive Leadership Program - Amsterdam Class 16
I've made my home in London for now with a bike ride to work and a healthy amount of travel and books to help me manage the pace of things.
I have worked on all kinds of different things - a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, setting up the bike hire scheme in London, working in a clinical research unit in southeast Asia, leading a government review into the UK venture capital market, being Deputy Chief of Staff and setting up our Germany office. Now I head up strategy development and planning, with the delivery of the occasional strategic program thrown in.
The thread through all of this is often hard to see but if there is sense of purpose and value, we are trying to make an ambitious change and I'll probably need to do something I have never done, then it appeals enormously.
Every day that goes by I see different things which I value most in a leader. On any day of the week, it can change from compassion to patience to self-belief to the ability to inspire people.
