Anna Bissila
I am an Amsterdam-based language lover born and raised in France. There, I studied law, modern languages, and business with English and Spanish majors, to fulfill my interest in cultural differences.
Throughout the years, I experienced hospitality, retail, and international corporate work cultures, in marketing and translation positions. Fond of arts, culture, and activism, I use my accumulated knowledge to write and inform about various social issues. This is what led to my participation in the "People Powered Movement vs Shell" exhibition in 2020, which walked visitors through grassroots actions focusing on restoring land rights and learning how to view climate justice as an intersectional struggle. Labor law is another major that stood out in my studies and that I went in-depth into via discussion sessions about the relationship one has with their company's practice.
After such experiences, I am happy to be at THNK and participate in reflecting on the future of leadership and the acceptance of change. In my spare time, I train myself in design and editing, do collages, and paint. I also love traveling to see my family and friends in France and Spain.
