Balint Dunai
Executive Leadership Program - Lisbon Class 02
I had an early engagement with environmental protection, sustainability and clean technologies. After my Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, I realized that I wouldn't be able to change the world while sitting at a desk.
As a result, I moved to Ecuador to build small-scale hydro power plants for isolated native populations. Then I moved to the United States to work for the Climate Solutions team of AES Corporation.
When I got back home, I completed my masters and started my first business in parallel. My team were one of the early birds of battery-based energy storage sector, as they were the developers of IntelliStore™ product line distributed by Energen, a Swedish company. I am a painstaking multitasker. I have an open mind to be able to accept different views and have a clear vision for problems and solutions. My colleagues frequently call me “the problem solver." Nowadays, I am focusing on renewable energy and water supply for the poor communities of Africa and other developing regions.
