Executive Leadership Program - Amsterdam Class 08
I have spent most of the past eight years working for the Red Cross in war zones: Syria, Sudan, Israel, Gaza. I arrived in Iraq a few weeks ago and will most probably stay in Baghdad for the next year, or even more. No, I am not a nurse. I work as a communication expert and spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Whenever I go back home to Argentina during my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and his two boys. As they see each other only a few times during the year, I treasure every minute that we share together.
I love to travel. Sometimes I believe that I work abroad partially because I hate to be a tourist, and instead prefer to get to know a country well by staying and working there for some time, so that I can learn about the culture and the people.
Many times when I think about myself in this world, I see myself as a free spirit who has found in the humanitarian world real meaning for life and the lives of others. I love meditation and summer. I also love cats, dogs and dolphins.
The best of my life is still to come, I feel it.
