Harald Friedl

I am very grateful that I am currently living in Myanmar, a country that is incredibly inspiring and confronting due to the changes it is going through.  I was lucky to contribute to the transition process in the political and economic arena: I have been advising the Government during the set up of the Myanmar Peace Center and was in charge of a renewable energy company which is starting.

I have co-founded an organization called Social Impact Myanmar that supports social entrepreneurs as they are a key ingredient for a sustainable economic development that is centered around real human needs.

I was recently struck by a quote of a mediation teacher who said that “this world needs less successful people and more healers”. During the THNK Creative Leadership program in Amsterdam, I hope to elaborate more on the intersection between leadership and healing.

In earlier incarnations I was adviser to our Deputy Prime Minister and have had the honor to work for the United Nations. I started his career as journalist and TV presenter (economic news).

I love hanging out in nature in any possible way and at any time; I adore my two kids and love hanging out with people who want to make the world a better place for future generations.

I am passionate about change, innovation, living passion and dreams.
