I am an American British expat who now considers The Hague his home, having moved to The Netherlands more than twenty years ago.
Today I work as an Executive Coach, Leadership Consultant and Team Facilitator, with a particular interest in enabling leaders to transform themselves, and their organisations, deriving benefits from both entrepreneurship and scale. Prior to setting up my own boutique practice, I led the Leadership and Organisation Development function for Genzyme, a pioneering biotech firm focused on treating patients with rare diseases.
I’ve always been interested in the link between business and people, and in particular how to enable personal development in leaders as they grow their organisations. My experiences at Genzyme led me to appreciate the power of a compelling purpose as well as how to enable teams to work effectively across boundaries, be they functional, geographic or company.
I am passionate about enabling others to find their own solutions to meet their aspirations and address their challenges. In addition, I am also curious about possibilities, and enjoy imagining the future and what could be, whilst at the same time focused on ensuring that ideas and insights lead to practical actions.
In my spare time I enjoy rowing on the canals in Leiden, horse riding and cycling as well as keeping up to date with developments in the field of transformation and current affairs. With my friends we like to try new recipes and sometimes new restaurants.
