Joana Ribeiro

I am a a 33-year-old dreamer and idealist always looking for a better self! Curious by nature, my passion is to discover and reinvent myself. Sensitivity, numerology, council, sacred feminine, theater, art, yoga dragon dreaming and deep listening are some of my tools in this quest. My formal education is in civil engineering but my mission is to bring awareness to people.

To keep the civil engineering language, I would describe myself as a bridge that links two sides of the same place. My purpose is to show them that they are not different; they are the same!

I’m a Jane’s Walk City Organizer in Lisbon and a member of the LXAMANHÃ project. Over the past few years, I’ve been dedicating myself to the promotion of a more sustainable and healthy mobility, by incentivizing walking and cycling behaviors. Motivated by this purpose, I’ve organized several walks and public events about accessibility, cycling with children and women’s safety in public spaces. These are the topics that move me as a better person, citizen and woman.
