Leonardo Farias
THRIVE - Class 01
I am originally from Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. My parents moved to the US when I was 13. As a kid, I loved to draw, paint, and create. That helped me make a transition into graphic design and start building things with the computer. I started programming at 15 and always loved the impact that software creations could have on people. I founded Concepta when I was 21, where I am the CEO.
Being extremely introverted, coming into a new country without knowing the language and culture, and bootstrapping a business from the ground up and growing where it impacts many families is something I do not take for granted and has shaped me as a person.
I am passionate about solving problems in creative ways. I have always been an artistic creative person, and working in a very logical engineering field has shown me a lot of opportunities.
When I am not working, I like to spend time with my wife and daughter. I like to work on creative side projects.
