Maria Felicia Barboza
I come from a large traditional Costa Rican family. I am the fifth sibling of seven brothers and sisters, the first girl after four brothers. Just imagine how it was for me growing up in this environment, fighting every day with older boys. I had this each and every day of my childhood. So, ever since that moment of my life, my strong personality began to unconsciously emerge: being competitive, fighting for my goals, and understanding that you can never give up... The secret recipe of a leader for today.
I am passionate about the banking industry. I have over 25 years of experience, with 22 years of those working at BAC, one of the largest banks in Central America. Moreover, throughout the years I have contributed to many projects and responsibilities that have shaped me into the leader that I am today. All of these involved two things in common. First: empathy and understanding the people around me with a professional and personal balance. Second: working with passion and believing in what we are doing.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, cook with my husband, and I love to run every single morning.
