Patty Fong

I currently lead the Climate and Health & Well-being Impact Areas of the Global Alliance for the Future of Food, an alliance of philanthropic foundations working together and with others to transform global food systems. Formerly, I worked at the European Climate Foundation as Program Director for Buildings and Energy Efficiency.

I have been involved in strategic philanthropy to address the systemic issues at the root of our global environment and societal problems, such as climate change, for more than 20 years. For me, the most effective leaders are those who are able to foster networks of changemakers and facilitate co-design and co-implementation processes around a clear vision. Originally from the US, I have lived in China and Latin America and am now based in Europe (in the Netherlands). When not thinking about global problems, I enjoy cooking, exploring new cultures and the outdoors, and spending time with my family.
