Executive Leadership Program - Vancouver Class 02

Sue Doi
General Counsel & Director, Legal Services
My experience and deep interests:
I am based in: Vancouver

I have over 14 years of experience as in-house counsel to a variety of corporations, including credit unions, ski resorts, telecommunications and creative consultancies. I am also a member of several boards, and have driven transformative and start up experiences in that capacity. I have also been both a participant and an organizing member of the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference, a national, intensive program that aims to bring Canada’s leaders from business, labor, First Nations and community sectors together to understand each others’ perspectives and the intersections of their spheres of influence.

I hold a bachelor of social sciences and a bachelor of laws from the
University of Ottawa. I sit on the boards of Destination BC, the provincial crown corporation responsible for marketing British Columbia as a tourist destination, and the Pacific Autism Family Centre Foundation, a one-of-a-kind hub and spoke model, bringing together resources for research, information, assessment, treatment, support and capacity to address the lifespan needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families.

I am motivated to constantly improve both myself and the
organizations around me, and particularly love asking questions that help others see things from a different perspective. I serve as unofficial coach and "whiteboard partner" to friends and colleagues. I am looking forward to the diversity of perspectives and conversations that will happen at THNK.
