I am the Head of the Innovation Center ACT Shenkar. I hold a Master's degree in Business Design (MBD) from Domus Academy in Milan, a special program that integrated design driven innovation in various economic sectors.
I am a design visionary and strategist by heart. My aspiration is in building new capacities both in the higher education and in the industry by redefining the boundaries of art, design and engineering and by building cross-platform collaboration programs.
After spending four years in Milan and in Domus Academy Research and Consulting Center, I set up the Innovation Center ACT Shenkar. My international network is always at the DNA of my initiatives.
My drive has brought together thought-leaders from Germany, Sweden, Estonia, UK, Spain, The Netherlands, Iceland, Denmark and Italy, under two leading EU funded programs promoting the global role of design and creative leadership as drivers for innovation. I am the initiator and coordinator of the EU Tempus IDEA project (InterDisciplinary Education Agenda -an essential driver for innovation, 2012—2015) and the EU Erasmus+ Capacity Building project- CLEVER (Creative Leadership & Entrepreneurship – Visioning Education Roadmap, 2015-2018), working with the Ministry of Economy in Israel, VC's, the Manufacturing Association, the self-employed association and so on.
I seek for new ways of channel creativity to provide impact solutions to global challenges, and in 2016 I initiated ACT & Collaborate project, design project for improving health services in Africa.
My work has received wide national impact and public awareness. I am the Co-Author of a Position Paper "Design for Growth", submitted to the Israeli government (2014), Co-editor of the book Interdisciplinary Research & Education – a Design Driven Perspective (2015-2016), editor and co- author of the first Research done on "The Creative Industries Sector in Israel" together with Macro, the center for economic research in Israel (2016).
I am responsible for many international conferences, events and round tables that promoting various aspects of the creative economy, among them: Grow Innovation Management (April 2013), Innovation Forward – strategies for future success (May 2013), Open Design Hub – opportunities for Industry academy collaboration (November 2014), Creative Economy FSTV (July 2016). I was also Co-Curator of the Israeli pavilion for the London Design Biennale "Utopia by Design" (2016), and the National Coordinator of the global Creative Business Cup Competition (2012-2016).
In my current position I am responsible for the entire research, IP, commercialization and entrepreneurship programs at the college. Under this capacity I founded ACT Design Accelerator, the only Design Accelerator in Israel, the excellence academic program 360°Creative Leadership and initiated many with companies on digital banking for the new millennia , service innovation and many more.
In my previous experience in the consulting sector, I worked with global companies and public institutions (i.e. Nissan, Toyota, Ramat-Gan Municipality, Alrov Luxury Hotels, etc.) on innovation strategies and market insights.
