Wendy Hopmans

I am the founder of various Dutch care institutions. I have spent the last two decades in the care industry, resulting in the development of home healthcare company Sanare and assisted living association Vivere. These institutions have a high-quality standard and are rewarded as such. I have an ambitious vision of how we should take care of people and a strong drive to realize this on a larger scale. Last year I spent my entrepreneurship in the e-health business looking for opportunities to meet urgent issues such as an alarming shortage of staff in the care industry.

In my companies, as a member of the board, I work as a servant leader focussed on personal development of the professionals.

I am passionate about the concept of Positive Health; in spite of a (chronical) disease, people can keep control to handle physical, emotional and social challenges in life, so far as is possible for them.

I would like to help turn society from welFARE (money driven) to WELfare (well being) by co-creating new technologies on social innovation to create democracy and accessible healthcare to everyone.
