Bootcamp for Creative Leaders

During this Innovation Bootcamp delivered by THNK School of Creative Leadership in collaboration with NRC Live, you will work with a variety of tried and tested tools to shape, structure, and optimize innovation within your organization. You will also explore and develop your role as a creative leader and complete a Self Assessment that will provide unique insights into your leadership ability to lead innovation for sustainable positive impact.

The Innovation Bootcamp is an impactful learning experience for executives and senior professionals who share a passion for innovation. You will be challenged to learn-by-doing and to come up with new ideas and solutions in small groups. Experienced facilitators will provide theoretical frameworks and continuous feedback to help you discover your strengths and development opportunities.

You will leave the Innovation Bootcamp with a toolbox filled with concepts such as Design Thinking, Business Model Innovation, Reframing, and LEAN Startup to apply in your own organization, as well as a deeper awareness of your role as leader.

Day 1

Innovation Flow


Experiencing and applying innovation skills and mindsets.

Where do you stand as a creative leader? After a brief introduction, you will start working on your objectives for this program. In teams of three, you will take the first step of the innovation process: exploring the problem. By combining rational analysis with consumer insights, you will learn to come up with new problem definitions.

Day 2

Leading Innovation


Starting, leading and guiding innovation projects.

During the second day, you will develop creative solution spaces by thinking big, reframing beliefs, innovating business models, and using analogies. You will discover how creativity can be structured and practice with proven tools to create game-changing ideas. And you don’t innovate alone: Creative leaders create an environment of trust to make a difference together. You will learn how to overcome resistance and inspire others to get the best out of themselves.

Day 3

Innovation DNA


Stimulate a culture of innovation within your organization.

You’ll learn to start with a simple prototype to test assumptions. With quick user testing and feedback loops, you will validate and correct an idea at an early stage. You will also work on the scalability of the concept: what can you add or change to increase the impact? Ultimately, innovation is only reality if you get it in the hands of others and learn how to convey your message through storytelling. The boot camp is completed with a final reflection on the tools, your role as leader and translation to your day-to-day work: how do you bring your insights a step further in your organization?

This price includes training facilities, catered breakfast, lunch and program materials. You are responsible for your own dinner and accommodation.

Are discounts available for teams?

Because learning from each other is a very powerful tool and becomes more effective with more colleagues, we offer a discount. If you sign up with two colleagues from one organization, the cost will be lowered per person.

Are tax deductions available?

Did you know that, under Dutch law, a self-employed person or employee can always make use of the personal deduction or tax deduction for study costs? This implies that the cost of education, taking into account a threshold on your income, can be deducted. In this way, the tax authority pays a large part of your education.

What is the class size?

During the bootcamp, you will be led by a team of at least two facilitators in a small group of approximately 30-35 senior executives and senior professionals. The group is big enough to learn from each other and small enough to bring in your own cases to discuss.
