In this Custom Program, the client’s core question was: “How might I build a culture of innovation within my organization?“
Our client’s industry was infamous for its lack of innovation and for facing disruption from startups. Further, our client’s organization had long history of conducting operational improvement programs focused on cost containment and efficiency instead of growth. They saw the opportunity to win in their market by making innovation a core part of their culture.
We co-created a tiered program addressing three levels of the organization:
- Using the THNK Innovation DNA framework, we collaborated with the board to assess the current organizational culture, to define opportunities for concrete change projects, and to increase the board’s external orientation.
- We facilitated a series of workshops with senior management to identify innovation opportunities and to build innovation mindsets.
- Based on the client’s own innovation methodology, we delivered an action-learning program for middle management to build innovation capabilities and mindsets,
A blended team of faculty and experts delivered all three journeys in multiple countries, interacting across tiers to maintain consistency throughout the organization.
